Out of A Pure Heart Ministries was birthed during a very difficult time in our lives. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband and I found ourselves living in motels for three months. He was recuperating from a broken hip which he sustained as a result of a fall down the steps; and I was dealing with Lupus.
During that time, we were confused, despondent, hurt and felt abandoned and almost to the point of giving up. We spent a lot of time asking God, “Why are You allowing us to go through this? “What did we do wrong?” “Why won’t anybody help us?” Our faith was wavering but God was faithful. He did send people to help us but there were weeks when we didn’t know how we were going to pay the motel bill nor get anything to eat. Again, we felt abandoned and were ready to give up.
During our time in the motels, we visited the library, often. One day, while looking at pictures to make a booklet to help a woman I knew to overcome alcoholism, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Out of A Pure Heart Ministries” and that has been the name of the ministry ever since (2009 – present).
Out Of A Pure Heart Ministries ministers to people who are homeless by providing seasonal clothing and shoes; food, and money.
Women Broken/Women Whole’s focus is on women who have been physically and or/ emotionally abused. Although we do a lot of ministry in shelters, we do broadcast focused on ministering to those who are in abusive situations.
As a woman who has dealt with emotional and physical abuse as a result of being in foster care and unhealthy, unholy relationships, I know all too well about the pain these women suffer. We minister love, forgiveness and the Word of GOD to these women who also, in many cases, are substance abusers and suffer from fear, anxiety and low self-esteem. When we minister in the shelters, we usually take arts and crafts with some type of religious symbol on them, to help take the womens’ minds off of their current situation. We also minister through skits and song, encouraging audience participation. We are often amazed at the “gifts” these women posses…singing, writing poetry, helps, etc. They are mostly looking for a listening ear, an understanding heart, and assurance that God loves them and so do we.

Hi Declan. Thanks for the compliment. Having a website requires dedication to the site.
I am not on here like I should be but anything worth having is going to take work. How successful you want to be depends on you.
I need to rework mine. I don’t really have any recommendations. I’m still learning.
Thanks again for the compliments.
